I get this error every time I try to book any flight. I have requested a $75 voucher for this issue. I got it. Now, I try to book another flight, and it still fails. Now I am requesting a complimentary flight because I have wasted so much time and orbitz.com sucks so much. After this flight, I will never use them again...

I'm having this same issue. I found a great deal on a multi city trip from OKC to Budapest to Amman, Jordan, only to get that same error on a number of different tickets. I guess I'll have to change my travel plans. :(

I found that the only way around this issue is to sign up for an orbitz.com account, add your debit card, sign in, and THEN make the purchase. If you don't have your debit card on file, and merely try to use it by entering the account number manually, it will fail every time. At least, that's what I experienced. However, the orbitz.com system is totally flawed and still sucks. They don't hire competent webapp people. In fact, it appears they outsource everything to India, which has resulted in inferior overall design...
